The Nimick Award
For Quaker Valley High School graduates pursuing STEMM studies, entering their junior year of college or university

This award is for Quaker Valley High School graduates pursuing STEMM studies, entering their junior year of college or university. There will be up to three $10,000-$15,000 awards, with 50% given shortly before the beginning of the junior year and the remainder when the student has achieved a Bachelor’s degree in said area of study. Students who received a QVEF Education Assistance Award as they graduated from high school are not eligible for this award.
To apply for the Nimick Award, please submit a letter and (unofficial) college transcript by June 1 to PO Box 174, Sewickley, PA 15143. The letter should identify your interests and academic pursuits in the STEMM area, and why you should receive this award. (Past examples have been to pay for away-from-campus housing during an internship or to decrease loan amounts). Please include a description of any internships or jobs which relate to your major and career pursuit.
Worthy candidates will be asked to meet with the trustees and the awardees will be determined by mid-July.
